About Trade Single Window
To maintain Hong Kong’s competitiveness as a trading and logistics hub, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is taking forward the initiative of developing a Trade Single Window (TSW) to provide a one-stop electronic platform for the trading community to lodge import and export trade documents with the Government.
The Commerce and Economic Development Bureau has been pressing ahead with preparations on all fronts, together with the Customs and Excise Department (which operates the TSW) and other relevant Government Agencies.
TSW will be implemented in three phases –
Phrase | Implemented Results |

Use of the TSW
To make online submission of trade documents through the TSW, you must first register as a TSW user and subscribe to the required online services.
After verification and approval of the subscription, you can make online submission of trade documents, check the process status and results of your applications, receive electronic licences/permits, and verify their validity through the TSW.
Note :
- Electronic licences/permits are applicable for designated trade documents only.
- Trade documents covered in TSW Phase 1 and Phase 2 are available for online submission through the TSW. You should continue to submit other trade documents through the existing means to meet relevant regulatory requirements.
